                                                     Custom Homes.
"Beautiful Old World Exteriors and Interiors"'

What are they?. Where are they? How do I get one?

These questions:
What has become of truly Custom Homes where the client decides what they want? You have a vision in your mind, maybe a memory from the past. It could be a photograph from a European journey showing a beautiful classic room interior. Perhaps an exterior that caught your attention, stopped you in your tracks. You photographed it and said "One day I will have one like this." "I will purchase property and have it built similar but different enough to reflect who I am" Then it sat in the corner of your mind or wish folder.

How do I design the rest of the house to encompass that room? That is a beautiful "Old World" ornate exterior but how do I integrate my "New World" needs into an equally ornate interior?

The Answers:
They are simply a click away. Send that photograph or description of your vision to my email. apbpainting@shaw.ca  Then by connecting you to the Designer who can do the layout and assist you in setting areas in their place. You look and "tweak" until it is what you want. The Designer will connect with the Architect and the rest of the team.

Whether in U.S.A. or Canada if you have the property and the vision. We have the know how to make your dream a reality.

Getting that European Style Designed Home is yours to have. Built your way to be as individual as you are.

My thanks to Vince Versace, Editor at Daily Commercial News and Construction Record. www.dcnonl.com/   and Don Procter, Correspondent.
They published an article yesterday April 26th about my artistic style of painting plaster moulding.
The title was: Ceilings a canvas for lost art of decorative painting.
It contained a photo of ceiling beams and moulding enhanced to show the different levels.

It is a pity that so much moulding is installed and the potential for the enhancement is overlooked. I wonder is this a lack of understanding of what can be done or are people playing safe? There is a feeling around constructing and finishing buildings with a mind to sell it in the future. Therefore it is decorated to appeal to a broad audience and make it easier to sell. I feel people should build and decorate for themselves and step out from the rest. Make the space yours and decorate to reflect you. This is what we see in the estate homes etc on tours. People built them to reflect who they were and not to be safe and wonder who else would like what they did.
So who are you? What resonates with your soul? What makes you feel "at home"? Dream it, design it and put the team together to make it a reality.

Panels and accenting them with colour.
Although this work is not mine the photographs reflect my way of enhancing details.

Above are Panels painted in various colours. The use of different shades can create the illusion of depth. This look can be achieved whether it is raised panels or moulding installed on a flat wall. Colour and accent shades coupled with highlighting on the mouldings bring it all to life.

Panels with added Details and Cornice Mouldings.

Add in some cornice moulding and extra details. Then with some artistic painting to enhance these details you create on a whole different level.

When less colour can achieve more.

Mouldings do not require a lot of colour to show their details. Sometimes less is more as in the case
here. The pattern of the floor is reflected in the ceiling. The tones of  colour do not compete for attention but are relaxing and soft. Some would say cold but the "busy' floor takes center stage here.

My painting of Panel and Cornice Moulding for a  designers showroom.
Mine is the art of painting plaster moulding to enhance the details so often lost in white. When you see the variety of colour available and the many different looks it can convey why leave your plaster white? Give it a life of its own and get your part of the universe to be as individual as you are.
